Manual Handling Risk Assessments

Lifting Correctly

What does the law require?
If your employees regularly lift, move or handle loads or if they carry out repetitive moving and handling tasks then they may be at risk of injury or long-term ill health. You must carry out a Manual Handling Risk Assessment of every activity to determine if the employee, including temporary employees, is at risk and if so put into place systems to reduce the risk.

We can carry out your Manual Handling Risk Assessments for you.
One of our qualified Manual Handling Risk Assessors will visit your premises and carry out the assessments with you. The cost depends on the number of different manual handling activities. Call Diane to discuss your requirements.

Train as a Manual Handling Risk Assessor on our one day course.
We provide high quality training enabling you to carry out your own Manual Handling Risk Assessments. This course has been recognised by the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.

See our course outline for more details, or call to discuss your training requirements - we can adapt the training to suit YOUR needs.

Safe Lifting Training

We can provide your employees with Safe Lifting Training - a half day course, accredited by CIEH, that will teach them how to lift correctly, and the dangers of lifting incorrectly. The training will enable delegates to make informed decisions about how they use their body to lift, carry, move and hold objects, this includes discussions about good posture for hands and arms as well as backs.

We can also provide safe lifting of people training.

See our course outline for more details, or call Diane to discuss your training requirements.
